Description
As a cross-trained member of a fast-paced recruitment team, this position is responsible for recruiting, interviewing and evaluating prospective first-year and transfer students for Iona University. This member will effectively develop and utilize recruitment strategies; managed prescribed recruitment territories, prioritize recruitment goals and complete projects as changing strategies dictate; effectively using data to assess strategies and priorities to meet recruitment goals.
- Efficiently manage a territory by analyzing data to determine strategic targets and territorial strategies which are most effective in reaching and supporting goal attainment. Evaluate candidate files, assist in gathering credit evaluation materials as needed, and recommend admission decisions all while making fiscally-sound decisions surrounding travel, recruitment, and admission tactics
- Assume an active and collaborative role as part of a cohesive recruitment team by actively and effectively playing key roles as assigned or needed at all recruitment events on or off campus, including booking fairs, acting as liaison with other campus departments (honors, athletics, etc.); assisting with event planning and implementation. Plan and conduct recruitment and outreach presentations at high schools, agencies and cultivate relationships with School Counselors, Community Based Organizations, Independent Counselors, and other agency personnel
- Aggressively and proactively monitoring and adjusting progress toward individual goals in an effort to assure the team goal and exercising good judgment in establishing priorities; making appropriate decisions and problem-solving; effectively managing own time, territory and projects; and accepting or overcoming obstacles creatively and patiently
- Participate in the on-going development, planning, implementation and assessment of recruitment strategies and effective admission and office policies and processes to support enrollment management best practices. Conduct effective and proactive information session presentations, phone, email, social media, and other contact campaigns to qualify students and move them in a timely and supportive manner through the process
- Work with students and parents to facilitate the application process, credit evaluation process, interviews, registration, billing, housing and other key enrollment processes for new students in coordination with other campus offices
