ECFE Paraprofessional at Glencoe-Silver Lake Public Schools

We are seeking an individual to join our team as an ECFE/ Paraprofessional in the Early Childhood Learning Center in Glencoe. The position is for up to 15 hours per week during the school year and is a B-21-rated position. The individual hired will assist in preschool classes and events.

Job duties:        

• Working with ECFE/preschool students in both individual and small/large group settings to reinforce and practice concepts presented by the teacher.
• Helping students to develop social skills and learn to respond appropriately to peers and staff members.
• Assisting the Early Childhood /Preschool teacher in preparing the rooms and materials for classroom activities, as well as room clean up.
• Participating in staff development, including staff meetings, workshops, and in-service training.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups of students, parents, school staff, and administrators.
• Experience with young children and an understanding of their developmental needs.
• Bilingual applicants encouraged to apply.
• High school diploma.
• This position may involve stooping, standing, sitting on floor, and some light lifting.
