Quality supervisor position responsible for manufacturing quality support in Bayport, MN. You will work with quality, manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, maintenance, product development, and our suppliers to ensure that our products conform to standards and exceed our customers’ expectations.RESPONSIBILITIES:Provides quality leadership to ensure that the products produced meet quality requirements defined by the company to both internal and external customers.Develop Standard Work processes and documentation to align the team’s work paths to organizational strategyAnalyze external and internal quality data to identify emerging trends, developing strategies to drive improvementParticipate or lead cross-functional tier meetings and responsible for quality metrics and actions.Possess ability to make critical decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Drive corrective action through root cause identification and structured problem solving.Interpret drawings, specifications, and standards and convert into manufacturing control plans, work instructions, and audit processes.Work with Design and Engineering teams to define product critical characteristics to ensure supplier process capability is effective.Develop & utilize good training and development materials/processes to ensure the team is effective in their quality functions and decisions.Advocate for the “Voice of Customer" through control plans and other quality documentation.Advance “Voice of the Employee" thru actions related to employee feedbackSupport and lead efforts related to process validation plans, test methods, and documentation strategies.Lead cross-functional team meetings, kaizen events, and value stream mapping sessions.SKILLS:Provide leadership, development, and coaching to hourly or salaried individuals and provide performance feedback.Recruit, hire, and onboard new employees with minimal to no guidance.Quickly adapt and reprioritize tasks to address emerging high-priority issues.Communicate clearly & concisely across cross-functional teams in person and digitally.Utilize: PDCA, A3, FMEA, 5-Why, Lean Sigma, DMAIC, CAPA, RCCA, Error Proofing, Eyes for Waste, Visual Management.Strong knowledge of quality management and lean manufacturing principles.Proficiency in software tools, such as Excel or Minitab, to analyze data to detect trends and abnormalities through statistical techniques.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:BS degree in Engineering, Technology, or related field.Knowledge of FMEA, SPC, process capability, quality management, and lean manufacturing principles.Working knowledge of measurement tools and systems.Experience working in quality related role minimum 2 yearsPreferred - experience leading people.COMPENSATION:Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process.
