The In-House Service Technician I is responsible for learning the processes for testing new equipment deliveries, selecting equipment and parts for daily service and installation calls, performing standard equipment repair, maintaining part and equipment inventory, and assisting walk-in customers with product questions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Reviews daily service orders, pulls and stages equipment and parts for installations, and service calls performed by Service Technicians.
  2. Performs routine testing of newly delivered equipment to ensure performance standards. Follows established procedures to evaluate equipment function and perform appropriate maintenance and basic repair of equipment. 
  3. Manages inventory quantities to ensure sufficient parts and equipment are available to meet installation and service calls.        Prepares purchase orders for restock of all equipment, filters, installation parts, plumbing parts, etc.
  4. Organizes warehouse space for optimal workflow and maintains order, cleanliness, and safety.
  5. Assists walk-in customers by assessing water tests, supplying product information, moving and loading salt bags to customer vehicles, and processing merchandise sales.
  6. Works with accounting team to ensure all purchase orders are managed in Salesforce and closed in a timely and accurate manner.
  7. Provides support to the Service Technicians as needed.  May occasionally perform equipment installs.
  8. Maintains company tools, resources, and spare parts inventory.

Education & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, exhibit initiative and a strong work ethic, and executing responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner.   
  • Good listening and verbal skills, and exceptional customer service phone skills.
  • Organized and able to provide detailed follow-up and follow-through of all company processes and procedures.
  • Comfortable talking to customers about product and payment options.
  • Valid drivers’ license and a clean driving record.
  • Mechanical aptitude, good analytical, problem solving, and trouble shooting skills; understanding the technology contained in the company’s products is essential.

Compensation: 

  • Hourly 

Travel: 

  • Less than 10%

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
  • Frequent lifting of up-to 50 pounds and maneuvering up-to 100 pounds with a dolly.
  • Occasional lifting up-to 125 pounds.
  • Ability to use hand tools and work with small parts.
