Overnight Transportation Coordinator | Golden Valley, MN | $60,000 - $65,000 at Koch Trucking

This role ensures everything stays on track when the rest of the world clocks out. As an Overnight Transportation Coordinator, you’ll support freight movement, driver activity, and customer needs during overnight hours, weekends, and holidays. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact after hours, stepping in to solve problems, manage assignments, and provide operational updates that keep service running smoothly.

Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 (commensurate based on experience) 

Schedule: This is a revolving schedule position: 4 days on, 4 days off, working 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

What You’ll Do:

You’ll be the go-to person during non-business hours, keeping freight moving and drivers supported.

• Respond to overnight driver and customer inquiries

• Assign or redirect drivers to meet service needs

• Enter orders and driver assignments into the system with accuracy

• Process EDI transactions and ensure timely load updates

• Track freight movement and provide real-time status updates

• Resolve service issues and communicate disruptions professionally

• Review orders and trip assignments for accuracy

• Prepare overnight reports for use by the daytime operations team

What You’ll Bring:

You’ll bring experience, urgency, and a commitment to getting things done right the first time.

• 1+ year of experience in transportation, logistics, or dispatch

• Working knowledge of DOT regulations and driver hours-of-service rules

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to deescalate issues and stay focused under pressure

• Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays

• High attention to detail with solid time management skills

• Proficiency with Windows-based software and TMS platforms

Preferred

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field

• 3+ years of experience in transportation or freight operations

• Experience with EDI and driver management systems

About the Role  

The salary grade for this position ranges from $59,350.20 - $83,046.80 per annum. While offers will be based on experience and qualifications, the targeted pay range for this role is $60,000 - $65,000 per annum.
