This position provides direct recruitment consulting and advising services to University units.  Responsibility includes providing search related services such as: recruiting strategies, reviewing and advising on job announcement language and format, screening applications, providing position advertising guidance and information to internal and external job seekers.  This position participates in community engagement, career fairs, and other partnering events.

Responsibilities

Recruitment Services

  • Recruits, screens, and refers qualified candidates to hiring departments for further consideration.
  • Partners with departments to provide guidance on the hiring process.
  • Communicates with candidates concerning specific vacancies, job qualifications, and salary requirements.
  • Consults with new hires regarding on-boarding questions and department instructions.
  • Conducts Department visits and trains department partners on search process and procedures. 

Community Partnerships

  • Conducts research and sources candidates.
  • Makes recommendations to Recruitment Manager for community engagement opportunities.
  • Participate in various campus/community events.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or relevant field and 2 years of relevant experience – OR – an Associate’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience – OR – in lieu of a degree, 5 or more years of relevant recruitment experience.

 
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with full-cycle recruiting practices.
  • Experience conducting or facilitating group training sessions
  • Experience in a higher education environment
  • PHR or other recruitment related certification

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge: Knowledge of current best recruiting practices. Knowledge of employment related federal & state law.  Knowledge of applicant tracking and HRIS tools

Skills: Facilitation of training/meetings.  Excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, proficient in MS Office. Analytical skills for data management. 

Abilities: Ability to interpret policy, multi-task, facilitate training/meetings.  Ability to source and cultivate candidates. Ability to interact with constituents from all levels of the campus community. Ability to be flexible/objective in a high-pressure environment.  Ability to be consultative and creative.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of enterprise systems and applicant tracking systems
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Recruiting Cloud or other Oracle Recruitment Products.

Compensation and Benefits 

UT market range: MR09

  • Anticipated hiring range: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00
