Steinman Communications is looking for a Network & Systems Analyst to join our team! The Network & Systems Analyst will be responsible for the secure, reliable, and continuous operation of all WAN, LAN, and Wireless networks, as well as the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of hardware and systems within a Microsoft domain environment. This role ensures adherence to security best practices, oversees data protection and compliance (e.g., PCI/DSS), and supports the organization’s infrastructure across multiple local locations.

Network & Systems Analyst – Security and Infrastructure Essential Job Functions (Full Description):
Network & Security Administration:
- Ensure safe and secure operations of all WAN, LAN, and Wireless networks across all Steinman Communications locations.
- Monitor and protect organizational data through regular internal and external vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and security analysis.
- Maintain Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI/DSS) compliance.
- Deploy, update, and manage network monitoring and management tools.
- Act as second-level support for Systems/Network Analysts and provide network health updates to IT director.
- Evaluate and recommend new networking and security products and solutions.
- Maintain and support Cisco network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Maintain Ruckus WAN environments at all key sites.
Systems & Infrastructure Administration:
- Administer Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Group Policy across multiple domains.
- Maintain the health and uptime of Microsoft Exchange email services across all Steinman companies.
- Install, upgrade, and support VMware environments and virtual server infrastructure.
- Manage NetApp SAN, Quantum backup environments, and perform regular data backups using NetBackup, DXi, and VM SnapMirror.
- Maintain Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for endpoint protection, PC deployment, software updates, and policy enforcement.
- Assist in design, installation, and troubleshooting of both new and existing network and system hardware/software.
- Troubleshoot network outages and monitor bandwidth usage to ensure system availability and performance.
- Provide support for Level 1 help desk requests as needed, assisting with end-user issues and technical troubleshooting.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours support.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for systems and procedures.
- Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud products.
- Perform other duties and functions as required from time to time.
Requirements
What are we looking for? Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Networking, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 2–5 years of experience in both system and network administration, with a focus on security and infrastructure.
- In-depth knowledge of Windows Server environments, Microsoft Exchange, and Active Directory.
- Experience with VMware, NetApp SAN, Quantum backup systems, and SCCM.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, security standards, and Cisco network equipment including routers, firewalls, and switches.
- Knowledge of Cisco IOS and Ruckus Wireless environments.
- Familiarity with industry-standard tools for network intrusion detection, health checks, and vulnerability scanning.

Working Conditions:
Primarily a controlled office environment, some travel involved to other company locations, and seminars, conferences, etc.
