The Maintenance Technician II is a highly skilled and crucial role responsible for all facility and equipment maintenance, repair, installation, and removal. This position is also responsible for managing the on-site forklift driver's certification program and maintaining all related logs. What You'll Be Doing:
As a Maintenance Technician II, your essential functions will include:
Performing all preventative maintenance and repair on a wide range of equipment, including but not limited to SMETCO, Palamatic, forklifts, compressors, and various production equipment.
Maintaining and repairing building infrastructure such as electrical systems, plumbing, lighting, and HVAC.
Managing the on-site forklift driver's certification program, ensuring all drivers are certified and their certifications are current.
Maintaining all logs related to machinery and ensuring all maintenance logs are current and accurate.
Adhering to all safety and environmental policies and procedures.
Maintaining an inventory of spare parts.
Managing relationships with vendors and ensuring the accuracy of services and charges.
Working closely with customers to ensure that reporting and reimbursable expenses are obtained on a monthly basis.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in facility and equipment maintenance.
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Experience with preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment and building systems (e.g., electrical, plumbing, HVAC).
Excellent organizational skills for managing logs, certifications, and spare parts inventory.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for managing vendor and customer relationships.
A deep understanding of safety and environmental policies.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency with hand and power tools.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, climb, and lift for extended periods.
Must be able to lift heavy materials and equipment as needed for repairs.
Requires good manual dexterity and physical stamina for maintenance tasks.
Must be able to work in confined spaces and at various heights.
Work Environment:
This is a non-climate-controlled warehouse and production environment.
You may be exposed to dust, loud noise, and fluctuating temperatures (hot and cold).
All duties require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
