High-Level Overview

We are building a strategic pool of procurement and contract management specialists from Francophone Africa to support infrastructure, renewable energy, and sustainability initiatives. These roles are central to ensuring transparent, compliant, and efficient procurement processes in line with donor, DFI, and government requirements across French- and English-speaking contexts.

Role and Responsibilities

Key Deliverables: 
  • Designing and executing procurement strategies in Francophone markets
  • Managing donor-funded tendering processes, bid evaluations, and vendor selection
  • Drafting and negotiating contracts with government, SOEs, and private sector partners
  • Embedding ESG and sustainability standards into procurement practices
Who Should Apply:
Procurement experts with:
  • Demonstrated experience in Francophone Africa (West, Central, or North Africa)
  • Fluency in French and English (spoken and written)
  • Knowledge of international procurement frameworks (World Bank, AfDB, EU, UN)
  • Strong contract negotiation and risk oversight skills

Requirements

Experience Required: 
  • Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in procurement or contract management for infrastructure/energy projects in Francophone Africa.
  • Strong knowledge of donor/DFI procurement rules (World Bank, AfDB, EU, UN).
  • Demonstrated ability to design and execute procurement strategies, manage tenders, and oversee vendor performance.
  • Proven contract drafting and negotiation experience in bilingual (French/English) environments.
  • Professional certifications in procurement (CIPS or equivalent) are an advantage.
