About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior Hardware Engineer with a solid track record in circuit design, PCB layout, EMC/EMI compliance, signal and power integrity, thermal analysis, and hardware verification. This role involves leading the design and development of high-performance hardware systems for embedded, digital, and mixed-signal applications across multiple product lines in Biomedical domain.
Key Responsibilities:
Hardware Design & Development:
- Lead end-to-end design of analog and digital circuits, including power supplies, microcontrollers, high-speed interfaces, and sensors.
- Perform schematic capture, component selection, and BOM creation based on electrical, thermal, and reliability requirements.
- Createupdate, review and guide PCB layout to meet signal integrity, power integrity, EMC, and thermal performance standards.
EMC/EMI & SI/PI:
- Perform EMC/EMI mitigation techniques, ground/power plane optimization, and layout practices.
- Perform SI/PI analysis using simulation tools to ensure integrity of high-speed signals and power distribution networks.
- Collaborate with compliance teams for pre-compliance and certification testing (e.g., CE, FCC, CISPR, IEC).
Thermal & Mechanical Considerations:
- Perform thermal simulations and analysis for heat dissipation and reliability assessments.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers to define thermal management strategies, including heatsinks and airflow optimization.
Hardware Verification & Validation:
- Develop test plans and procedures for design verification and validation (DVT, EVT, PVT).
- Conduct functional, electrical, thermal, and stress testing.
- Analyze failures, lead root cause investigations, and implement design improvements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- 5–8 years of experience in hardware product development.
- Hands-on expertise in circuit design, PCB design, and hardware debugging.
- Strong knowledge of EMC/EMI compliance, SI/PI analysis, and thermal modeling.
- Proficiency with tools such as OrCAD, LTspice, or Cadence.
- Experience using lab equipment: oscilloscope, network analyzer, logic analyzer, thermal cameras, etc.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in working with medical or other electronic products.
- Familiarity with product lifecycle processes and design control documentation.
- Understanding of Agile or V-model development, DFMEA, and PLM systems.
