What you’ll own

  • Supervise and coordinate GSOC activities and shift operations including threat detection, incident response, and escalation procedures.
  • Provides physical security of facility using automated security systems and employee identification card systems.
  • Monitors and reacts to security and life safety alarms while dispatching security officers.
  • Monitors activity on facility grounds to ensure the safety of employees.
  • Monitor and control all access to buildings and grounds.
  • Monitors alarms to ensure security requirements are met.
  • Operates surveillance or security systems and provides access to surveillance records and liaison with law enforcement agencies.
  • Creates and administers any specialized employee access systems including ID badges, keycards or other access credentials.
  • Advises Security Officers of parking violations and fire and safety hazards on surveillance equipment.
  • Keeps abreast of weather warnings and conditions to ensure business areas are given appropriate time to secure the campus.
  • Monitors alarms for Security Officers while conducting safety drills.
  • Maintains documentation of facility security records.
  • Documents and retains lost and found items.
  • Responds to general calls for service, such as accessing locked buildings, assisting staff and visitors and providing escorts.
  • May assist in educating new and current employees on security operation, safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates outside agencies in the investigation of criminal activity within or around the facility.
  • Incident Management - To detect, analyze, and make appropriate written and oral notifications during incidents and emergencies which may impact the organization’s facilities, assets, employees, and brand image.
  • Tactical Intelligence - Monitoring of Situational Awareness events which may range from weather conditions, political instability, crime, terrorism, protest, demonstration, civil unrest, strike or any geopolitical tensions, to technical failures which are directly or indirectly impacting WP employees, Facility and Assets.
  • Lead investigations into security breaches, thefts, or safety violations and prepare detailed reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Facilities, IT, HR, and Legal to address security concerns.
  • Ensure proper functioning of surveillance systems, access control, and emergency response tools.
  • Maintain documentation related to security operations, incident logs, and compliance reports.
  • Support business continuity and crisis management planning and execution.

What you'll bring:

  • Strong knowledge of physical security systems, GSOC operations, and incident management.
  • Excellent communication, Supervisory, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in using security software, surveillance systems, and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of security (alarm and video monitoring) systems as well as operating procedures of all offices and facilities
  • Knowledge of standard radio communication techniques and terminology
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills in dealing with employees or external customers/clients
  • Proficient in displaying professionalism and trustworthy demeanor
  • Capacity to react quickly in sensitive situations
  • Proficiency to obtain information from individuals under stress in unusual or emergency situations

About the Team

The Security Officer Senior is responsible for overseeing day-to-day APAC-GSOC operations activities ensuring the proper control of alarm monitoring, surveillance, ID Badge Printing and distribution, prevention of un-authorized access / tailgating, safety of personnel, assets, and infrastructure, maintaining daily GSOC log reports / dashboards. This role involves managing ground security and GSOC teams, implementing security protocols including threat detection, escalation and responding to incidents with precision and professionalism. Security of facility using automated security systems and employee identification card systems. The position demands strong supervisory skills, knowledge on Tactical Intelligence / Situational Awareness, and the ability to collaborate across departments to maintain a secure and compliant environment
