About the Role:
The Project Director – TRECCA, plays a pivotal role in delivering the specific role allocated commitments outlined in Ventia’s Reconciliation Action Plan. This role plays a critical role in delivering these outcomes, leading a team to ensure that operational excellence is achieved in parallel and cultural integrity. Success in this role will demonstrate Ventia’s leadership in reconciliation, diversity, and social sustainability.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Delivering on Reconciliation Action Plan activities per responsibilities attached to role
- Driving continuous improvement in inclusive recruitment and retention practices
- Strategic planning of priorities for the team annually, developing the approach to work towards these over the year, and supporting the TRECCA team to understand their responsibilities in achieving those.
- Manage the profit and loss of the operations including identifying and securing revenue opportunities like wage subsidies, government funding or revenue.
- Managing ongoing performance and professional development of all direct reports
- Ensuring Ventia Safety, Health, Environment, Quality (SHEQ) standards are implemented and managed
- Stakeholder engagement
- Preparing and presenting performance reports as required
- Managing financial accounts and budget, ensuring budget is met
- Identifying opportunities to expand TRECCA’s impact both internally and externally.
- Supporting tenders/bids with focus on Indigenous participation and target setting
Key Skills and Experience of the ideal candidate:
- Minimum 5 years’ management experience leading small-medium teams.
- Minimum 3 years’ operational experience e.g., Operations Manager or similar (demonstrating an understanding of that environment).
- Proven experience in staff and budget management.
- Demonstrated commitment to Indigenous engagement and social impact.
