What You’ll Do 

 

In this role, you will:  

  • Develop a clear and aspirational vision for Product Marketing at Telstra. 

  • Lead and elevate Product Marketing strategy, capability and content across all Segments – Consumer, Business and Enterprise. 

  • Guide the development of innovative propositions and product marketing strategies that deliver commercial upside and on growth ambitions, including research and analysis of customer behaviour, competitive activity and market trends. 

  • Support our products with strategies, initiatives and content through the entire lifecycle, building customer education and engagement that increases usage, advocacy and revenue.  

  • Identify value pools within our base and/or market opportunities across new segments, building strategies and plans to capitalise on these opportunities. 

  • Lead the Propositions Chapter within Marketing, providing people leadership, capability development and demonstrating real passion for your craft. The Propositions Chapter is responsible for go-to-market propositions and delivering the commercial plan, working in an Agile model in close collaboration with Group and Product Owners. 

  • Be a key member of the Marketing Leadership Team helping to shape the strategic direction, culture and capabilities of the Marketing function and team. 

  • Authentically collaborate and build positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

About you  

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need: 

  • To be a proven successful product marketing leader, ideally with technology experience across both B2C and B2B, or a similarly complex product category like financial services 

  • A track record of developing and executing innovative and commercially successful product marketing strategies, roadmaps and programs. 

  • To demonstrate how you have executed product marketing in a high impact way that builds brand, getting beyond rational product demonstration to emotional and creative storytelling.  

  • A high level of stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and influence executive leaders and cross-functional stakeholders. 

  • To have led large teams, building technical capability and inspiring high performance, whilst building a strong culture. 

  • To set high standards with a continuous improvement mindset, including coaching skills. 

  • An understanding of Agile methodology and practices an advantage.
