Requirements

 

This role requires technical problem-solving, ingenuity, and the ability to work with large, messy datasets while designing automated, scalable solutions. The right candidate will be comfortable in ambiguity, proactive in proposing solutions, and driven to follow through to completion with precision and discipline. 


This job requires a high degree of specialized expertise and skill in maintaining established standards of quality and accuracy. Drive, determination, and a self-disciplined approach to achieving results that meet these established criteria are necessary for successful job performance. The work requires technical problem-solving and ingenuity while working within the organizational systems and technology.  


 Role & Responsibilities 


Product Management & Delivery 

  • Support high-quality and timely delivery of East Daley’s NGL product suite. 
  • Maintain and enhance existing Excel models and workflows, introducing automation and error-proofing where possible. 
  • Ensure accuracy and scalability across recurring data and product deliverables. 

Data Automation & Engineering 

  • Automate database pulls, data cleaning, and data pipelines to reduce manual overhead. 
  • Contribute to the accomplishments of the Data Team by integrating new data sources, streamlining ingestion, and optimizing workflows. 
  • Develop processes and tools that allow repeatable, scalable, and reliable delivery. 

Product Development & Prototyping 

  • Build rapid prototypes and demos to test new product concepts and features. 
  • Create visuals and dashboards (Excel, SQL, or lightweight front-end frameworks) that translate complex data into usable insights. 
  • Propose and implement technical solutions that improve efficiency and enable new client-facing products. 

Internal Collaboration 

  • Work closely with the NGL Lead Analyst to prioritize projects, structure deliverables, and ensure alignment with product strategy. 
  • Act as a technical counterpart, translating high-level concepts into operational, automated systems. 
  • Coordinate with the Data Team on schema design, metadata organization, and infrastructure improvements. 

Education/Experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Technical/quantitative fields strongly preferred (Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Math, Economics, Finance). 
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel (automation, VBA, Power Query). 
  • Experience with SQL and Python required; exposure to visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or lightweight web frameworks) strongly preferred. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets, automate repetitive workflows, and build clean, reliable systems. 
  • Prior energy experience is advantageous but not essential — curiosity and drive to learn quickly are more important. 
  • Strong ownership mentality: able to work independently in ambiguous situations, propose solutions, and follow through with meticulous attention to detail.

Salary range:  $70,000 - $80,000 plus quarterly bonus opportunities
