Job Description:Job Summary: The Accounts Receivable Representative for our Physical Therapy Company is responsible for managing and following up on insurance claims to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement. This role involves collaborating with insurance providers, patients, and internal teams to resolve outstanding claims and optimize revenue collection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and process insurance claims, including investigating denials, rejections, and discrepancies to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Communicate effectively with insurance companies, internal departments, and patients regarding claim status and resolution of billing issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of insurance interactions and patient billing information while preparing and submitting appeals for denied claims.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients regarding insurance and billing inquiries while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent with proven experience in medical billing and accounts receivable
- Strong knowledge of insurance claim processing and medical coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in billing and practice management software
