In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:
Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.
A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
Federal Work Study student may apply.
In good disciplinary standing.
Must be located in the U.S.

Responsible for the creative direction of the Conservatory Cabaret. Must produce, direct, teach, and choreograph three productions to be performed throughout the Boston community. In addition, this person(s) is the primary liaison between the CoS and the Cabaret performers.Mission of Cabaret Ensemble:
Through the Student Employment Program, students are to be compensated to perform a Cabaret style show at a variety of non-profit institutions such as hospitals, assisted living centers, and schools, bringing the joy of performance to those who do not have regular access to the arts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must produce, direct, teach, choreograph, and perform in, three cabaret productions to be performed in the Boston community.
- Assist with marketing and recruitment of Cabaret Ensemble.
- Work collaboratively with the Musical Director in the creation of performances.
- Assist the CoS and Musical Director in casting cabaret performers at auditions.
- Responsible for leadership and supervision of all Cabaret performers.
- Establish and oversee weekly rehearsals of all Cabaret performers.
- Represent the Conservatory at all performances in a responsible and mature manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong artistic direction skills - previous experience a plus.
- Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of a wide variety of song repertoire.
- Comfortable working in a variety of non-traditional spaces.
- Strong belief in the mission of the program.
