Mechanical Integrity (MI) Coordinator – Decatur, IL
This is a full-time, exempt-level position. 
  
Job Summary: 
The Mechanical Integrity Coordinator is responsible for leading, implementing, and sustaining the mechanical integrity of site assets to ensure operational safety and reliability.  The Mechanical Integrity Coordinator will work with Maintenance and Operations teams to develop and define asset requirements and strategies for the site and advance and sustain existing MI activities. This role works with the BioProducts Operations team and reports to the BioProducts Maintenance Superintendent.  

Essential Job Functions: 
  • Direct and lead third-party contractors involved with Mechanical Integrity (MI) activities at the site
  • Support the plant in sustaining and improving MI efforts and activities
  • Approve/determine changes to Inspections, Tests or PM Frequencies
  • Direct, manage, and support site MI programs
  • Primary point of contact for all items related to regulatory state inspections.
  • Partner with the plant maintenance team and RCM Practitioners to develop an action plan to identify and address deficiencies in assets 
  • Work with SMEs to establish inspection/repair plans, identify relevant damage to mechanisms, select appropriate inspection tasks/NDE methods, and develop inspection/maintenance plans for all equipment.
  • Contribute to design, specification, construction activities, and quality assurance of equipment.
  • Work in conjunction with MI Practitioners to review and approve inspection and testing procedures to ensure compliance with applicable API, ASME, NFPA, NBIC codes, etc.
  • Working w/ SME’s, ensure, API, ASME, NFPA, NBIC, and other applicable Standards and RAGAGEPs are incorporated into the MI program, particularly as it relates to Inspection and Repair
  • Interpret Inspection Reports and ensure mandatory integrity items are planned and corrected.
  • Review inspection, testing, and repair documentation and follow up on corrective actions as needed.
  • Determine remaining life calculations and next inspection dates based on equipment condition and incorporate that information into the inspection scheduling plan for the site.
  • Support and lead implementation of risk-based inspection programs.
  • Assist in defining and implementing best practices for inspection and repair documentation, record storage, and tracking.
  • Work with SMEs to provide guidance, direction, and leadership for reliability issues involving fixed equipment (piping, pressure vessels, exchangers, heaters, tanks, etc.).
  • Develop procedures required for equipment inspections and tests.
  • Support/lead MI compliance auditing efforts at plant sites.
  • Ensure selected 3rd party inspectors and repairers have the necessary qualifications and certifications.
  • Ensure PSM requirements for PSVs and Critical Safety Devices are met and updated.
  • Develop KPI’s to track and ensure Compliance w/ MI Program.
Minimum Job Requirements: 
  • 5 + years of Maintenance/Project management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Effective decision-making ability and problem-solving skills. 
  • Demonstratable organization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Products and Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS).
  • Demonstrated supervisory, and leadership experience and the ability to work in a team environment 
  • Must be customer-focused and proactive in managing conflict, influencing others, listening, change management, prioritization & planning, utilizing a proactive approach to reliability

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between:
