Position: AVID Tutor
Schedule: 2 days / week, 2 hours / day
Location: Buffalo Community Middle School
Beginning: 09/29/2025 or As Agreed Upon

Benefits & Pay Schedule: $19.00/hour, position earns Minnesota's Earned Sick & Safe Time (ESST) leave, however, is not eligible for other benefits

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- AVID Tutors work to facilitate and coach small groups of students who are engaged in academic problem-solving, under the direction of the classroom teacher.
- The tutors do not re-teach curriculum nor do they work as homework assignments.
- Tutors are engaged with the students as academic coaches to facilitate peer learning and instruction.
QUALIFICATIONS: - College degree or currently enrolled in college
- High School Diploma
