  • Revenue Protection & FP&A Enhancement:
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to implement and refine processes for revenue protection under a shifting commercial model, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and robust billing/collection procedures.
  • Bolster FP&A deliverables related to the shifting commercial model, including developing and enhancing revenue analytics, improving budgeting and forecasting methodologies, and providing deeper insights into commercial performance.
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and address growing risks across financial controls, compliance, and the order-to-cash process, implementing effective solutions and best practices.

2. Financial Control & Operations (Supporting Focus):

  • Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, including month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Manage revenue for the group from Saas metrics through to revenue recognition.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory reporting requirements, tax regulations, and internal policies.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and control.
  • Collaborate with the existing finance team (part-qualified accountant, management accountant) to provide guidance and support, fostering their development.

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
  • Proven Experience: Significant experience (e.g., 5+ years post-qualification) in a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
  • Start-up Acumen: Demonstrated experience working in fast-paced, dynamic start-up environments, with an ability to adapt quickly, be hands-on, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Big Company Exposure (Beneficial): Experience gained within a larger, more structured corporate environment, bringing best practices in controls, processes, and reporting.
  • Project Management Skills: A strong track record of successfully managing and delivering complex finance-related projects, ideally involving systems implementation, process improvement, or compliance initiatives.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Solid understanding of IFRS..
  • Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with corporate reporting requirements for a parent company is a significant advantage.
