We offer an early learning center for preschool and kindergarten students, including a community education center. This center includes many outdoor and indoor active learning spaces. Jefferson Elementary provides programming for grades 1-4, focusing on small group instruction, responsive classroom, STEM opportunities, and core curriculum. We offer a middle school structure and environment for grades 5-8, focused on advisory, exploratory, and experiential learning opportunities. Our high school is for grades 9-12, offering college, vocational, and work-ready courses. We have many opportunities for fine arts and athletics for all students. A Career Technical Education (CTE) Center provides students with opportunities in automotive, welding, manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, construction careers, and cabinetry.

AVAILABLE POSITION – PAYROLL COORDINATOR

Location – New Ulm Public Schools District Office, 414 S Payne Street, New Ulm, MN

Job Summary – Under the direction of the Business Manager, the Payroll Coordinator will coordinate and process all payrolls, calculate and maintain the employee time-off system, submit required reporting to various federal, state, and local agencies, review and process FMLA requests, and assist with communication, collection and management of employee benefits.

Skills and Abilities –

Coordinate district-wide payroll functions in a timely and efficient manner
Good oral and written communications
Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
Highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, department heads, and community members

Qualifications –

High school graduate or equivalent with two-year post secondary education in accounting or business preferred
Payroll and/or Human Resource experience
MN School District payroll experience a plus

Start Date – As Agreed Upon

Wage/Salary/Benefits – Wage range $26.00 to $33.50 per hour, based on experience. Benefit package includes health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
