Key Responsibilities
- Perform initial and ongoing assessments of cardiopulmonary and cardiovascular function.
- Collaborate with physicians and dietitians to develop individualized care plans.
- Monitor patients during exercise sessions, including ECG, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and symptom tracking.
- Provide patient and family education on cardiac and pulmonary health, medications, lifestyle modifications, and disease management.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including oxygen therapy and emergency interventions.
- Assist in the integration of pulmonary rehabilitation components within cardiac rehab programs.
- Document patient progress and outcomes in accordance with AACVPR standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and AACVPR certification processes.
- Maintain current knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation best practices.
