Description
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Riverdale. If you have hands-on experience with heavy-duty trucks and a passion for diagnostics and repair, we want to hear from you.
Position Overview
As a Diesel Mechanic, you’ll perform inspections, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide variety of equipment, including:
- Heavy-duty Class 8 diesel trucks (Mack, Kenworth, Peterbilt)
- Rear-end loaders, front-end loaders, roll-offs, tractors, and box trucks
- Skid steers, forklifts, wheel loaders
- Hydraulic systems
- Occasional metal fabrication and welding (as needed)
Additional responsibilities include:
- Completing service documentation and paperwork
- Performing occasional road calls
- Ensuring work complies with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards
Requirements
- 2–5 years of diesel or truck repair experience
- Experience with Mack, Kenworth, and Peterbilt trucks
- Strong knowledge of engines, transmissions, and electrical systems
- Must have your own tools
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in all weather conditions
- Strong mechanical aptitude
Preferred:
- CDL-B license
- Welding experience
- ABS diagnostic experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
