Location: Surgical Services – Saint Marys Campus - PACU
The nurse technician performs delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). The designated tasks are those which have been taught in the academic programs and/or orientation, and where the individual has demonstrated competence to a designated RN. The functions are those limited by law to unlicensed personnel. Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned in accordance with the state’s Nurse Practice Act.
Qualifications
Qualifications for Internal Candidates
Successful completion of junior year of baccalaureate nursing program or successful completion of 2 semesters of associate nursing program. Successful experience in clinical areas as described in instructor references to perform the functions which are within this job description. Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS).
Additional Qualifications :
Able to adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting and deal with stress caused by the care of patients.

This position has a predetermined rate of $22.65 per hour.
