What you’ll do:

As a Parent Partner Coordinator, you’ll guide and support parent mentors who have been referred by the Iowa Department of Human Services to the Children & Families of Iowa Parent Partner statewide program. You’ll play a key role in helping families by:

  • Recruiting and retaining dedicated Parent Partners.
  • Leading and managing Parent Partner teams to ensure goals and contractual guidelines are met.
  • Overseeing completion of weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly responsibilities.
  • Facilitating monthly clinical collaboration meetings to address challenges and improve service delivery.
  • Traveling within counties to provide leadership and support where it’s needed most.

Requirements

What You’ll Need to Succeed in This Role:


Education & Experience:
- Associate degree with at least 4 years of full-time experience in Child Welfare services.

 - A high school diploma may be considered if you bring strong experience and skills.
Certification:
- Must complete the Iowa Parent Partner Coordinator Certification within 4 months of hire (training provided).
Leadership:
- Prior leadership experience is a plus—but if you’re motivated, we’re ready to train and support you in developing these skills.
Communication:
- Strong writing skills are essential.

 - Experience writing court reports or testifying in court is highly valued.
Technology:
- Reliable high-speed internet access is needed to perform certain job duties.
Driving Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
 - Background and driving record checks will be completed prior to employment.
