What You’ll Do

  • Partner with Programme / Special Project Leads to project manage strategic, cross-functional programmes:
  • Support the Lead with programme set up, including managing all project documentation e.g. project scope, plan and risk documents, and ensuring the programme is appropriately resourced from the start.
  • Own the cross-functional project meeting rhythm (e.g. project team update meetings, steering committee meetings, daily syncs), ensuring relevant attendance, agendas and appropriate meeting cadences are in place to drive the project forward.
  • Prepare high-quality reporting materials including status updates, dashboards, executive summaries and longer reports where required, ensuring complex updates are synthesised into clear narratives suited to specific audiences.
  • Monitor progress against milestones and drive actions to completion, holding relevant stakeholders to account.
  • Identify and escalate risks and issues throughout the programme, propose mitigations and follow through to resolution.
  • Dive into problems and unblock issues, picking up ad hoc tasks where relevant.  This role is not just about planning and reporting, it’s about ensuring critical initiatives get delivered.
  • Facilitate project planning and postmortem workshops.
  • Independently lead and project manage small to medium sized projects end-to-end, from scoping to planning, execution and closure.
  • Support continuous improvement of project management processes, tools and templates, role-modelling effective tools and best practices.  This includes adopting AI tooling to drive automation and efficiency into project practices wherever possible.

Who You Are

We’re open to diverse backgrounds. What matters most is capability and drive. You should demonstrate:

  • A bias for ownership and action, exemplified through consistent, successful and timely programme delivery.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, demonstrated through precise coordination of project plans, clear and concise reporting and proactive stakeholder communication.
  • Foresight by anticipating potential issues and risks early, with the capability to proactively identify and implement effective mitigations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to tailor messages for a range of stakeholders, from the team to executive leadership and board.
  • Ability to coordinate across teams and influence without authority.
  • Experience managing timelines, deliverables and stakeholder communications.
  • Ability to operate at pace and deal with ambiguity and facilitate others to do so.
  • An interest and willingness to dive deeply into a range of problems, be it technical, operational or strategic, with the adaptability to learn quickly and contribute meaningfully across different contexts.
  • A curious mindset and drive to explore how AI can make a real difference.

Nice to haves

  • Comfortable using project management tools such as Jira, Confluence and Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Exposure to programme reporting and executive leadership / board-level communications.
  • Project management qualifications.
  • Familiarity with risk and control frameworks or governance forums.
  • Experience in financial services, fintech or regulatory programmes.
