Proctors Collaborative is the Capital District’s leading regional arts organization with performing arts venues in Albany, Schenectady and Saratoga, and education, civic engagement and economic development initiatives throughout the region. We’re changing expectations about how the arts serve a community.
Proctors Collaborative seeks a Vice President of Programming, Marketing and Communications to join its senior leadership team. This full-time role is responsible for shaping and executing strategic initiatives across programming, marketing, and communications for the entire organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Programming
- Design and implement a diverse, mission-aligned, accessible, and financially sustainable programming strategy for all Collaborative venues, in coordination with the Producing Artistic Director of theRep.
- Lead the booking team in research, negotiation, scheduling, target setting, and settlement of all ticketed performances.
- Manage the annual programming calendar, ensuring a balanced schedule that supports institutional goals while allowing space for community-driven initiatives.
- Cultivate partnerships with local, national, and international programming professionals, educational institutions, and community organizations to enhance programming and co-promotional opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Education Department on school-day performance bookings and contribute to planning for the On-the-Go program alongside the Producing Artistic Director.
Marketing and Communications
- Direct the development and execution of single ticket, group sales, and subscription campaigns across all Collaborative venues.
- Partner with the leadership team to define and implement a cohesive brand strategy for the Collaborative.
- Establish pricing structures and sales targets to support revenue goals.
- Safeguard brand integrity and ensure consistent messaging across all marketing and communication channels.
- Oversee public relations efforts, including media outreach, press releases, press events, newsletters, and annual reports.
- Supervise the creation and distribution of marketing content across print, digital, and social media platforms, supporting ticketed events, School of the Arts programming, and community initiatives.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven senior-level experience in marketing, programming, and communications within the performing arts sector.
- Demonstrated success in revenue generation, sales strategy, brand development, and promotional campaigns.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
- Experience in budgeting and performance analytics.
- Deep passion for live entertainment and community engagement.

Salary Range
Salary commensurate with experience, between $120,000 -$150,000 a year.
