What You’ll Do: 

As a Production Engineer, you’ll 

  • Identify and establish improvement programs through root cause analysis and works with quality department to trend the improvements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that our products and services meet the highest industry standards and maintain compliance to relevant airworthiness and contractual requirements
  • Prepare engine inductions, detailed work instructions, UBS router creations, Engine Manual Revision Reviews, NCT Dispositions, Test Cell troubleshooting, Cycle 2 Repair support and submit OEM Technical Inquiries, while providing MRO Engineering Technical product support.
  • Own, generate, maintain, and update temporary overhaul data revisions (TODRs), prepare production routings and detailed instructions based on approved data.
  • Review all scrap not able to be dispositioned routinely with a view to applying book repairs, logging scrap rates and costs, and accumulating stock as future-repairable.
  • Work in collaboration with other engineers in assessing repair feasibility and developing and improving processes.
  • Act as a conduit between the business unit and operations in resolving technical production problems.
  • Interpret technical drawings and OEM manuals. Communicates directly with OEM on accessing repairability of components.
  • Provide support and consultation services to operations to assist with the dismantle, inspection, repair and assembly process of gas-turbine engines.  
  • Support acquisition of equipment as required to meet implementation objectives.  Establish and monitor equipment safety issues.
  • Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
  • Carry out special projects & duties as assigned.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • University degree in mechanical, industrial, aerospace, or metallurgical engineering; or equivalent (Required)
  • 1 year working knowledge of gas turbine/accessory design theory, basic machine shop practices, and basic gas turbine metallurgy; familiarity with engine manuals. (Required)
  • 1 year working knowledge of precision measuring instruments; ability to interpret drawings (including tolerancing).
  • 1 year experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 3 years or more experience working in an engine MRO facility
  • Experience in Aerospace or Aviation MRO environment 
  • Demonstrated ownership and attention to detail in project execution as well as initiative and self-motivation for learning and progressing projects to completion
  • Understand process of root cause analysis on process failures and implement corrective actions
  • Successful management of engine MRO projects and processes 
  • Demonstrated ownership and attention to detail in project execution as well as initiative and self-motivation for learning and progressing projects to completion.

 

Salary Range: $86,394 – $110,000 per year

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, StandardAero considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
