Position Summary

The Cash Posting Team Lead ensures that claims are submitted accurately, timely, and follows up to facilitate adjudication and payment within cash collection standards. The Cash Posting Team Lead also ensures all corresponding team members’ work is assigned and disseminated accordingly while serving as a point of escalation for team members.

Success Measures

Success measures include adherence to Centria policies, flawless execution of tasks, a timely, positive customer service experience for team members, and a high level of compliance. Success also includes meeting or exceeding personal qualitative and quantitative key performance indicator (KPI) metrics, including unbilled AR as a percentage of revenue tied to FCT scope, denials as a percentage of revenue due to FCT scope, cash, and minimizing write-offs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process and procedure expert for assigned/applicable insurance policies.
  • Ability to step in and lead team huddles.
  • Ability to step in and lead direct reports in day-to-day Cash Posting operations.
  • Knowledge of payor contracts in accordance with guidelines for cash posting.
  • Coordinate with related internal staff payment posting and unapplied cash.
  • Train new team members and assist in any coaching opportunities.
  • Work independently and collaborate in a team environment.
  • Assist in situations that require additional care and knowledge (new payor).
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of client records according to policies and procedures.
  • Make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues.
  • Knowledge of computer data entry systems, protocols, and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to peers, team members, and payors/insurance companies.
  • Collaborate with RCM Billing/AR Teams in collection efforts from respective payors.
  • Collaborate with the Denial Management Team.
  • Other duties as assigned by the RCM Leadership Team.

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma, required

Work Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of revenue cycle experience.
  • 2 years of cash posting experience.

Equipment and Technology Requirements

  • Working knowledge of laptop/desktop PC
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Proficiency in G Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Google Meet)

Other Competency Requirements

  • Ability to follow written instructions
  • Ability to use computers and computer/software programs
  • Ability to communicate expressively and receptively

Knowledge and Skills

  • Relative Revenue Cycle experience.
  • Experience at the hiring manager’s discretion.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Customer service and phone etiquette.

Working Conditions

  • Centria's office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM.
  • Additional time or occasional shift in schedule may be required to complete the above work or meet company objectives.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, physical requirements such as bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 30 pounds may be required. This role will require sitting most of the day as well as walking and standing periodically. This role may require close visual acuity on computer screens or monitors and the ability to analyze data and figures on a screen.
