Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa’s is searching for a patient focused RN to in our busy Rheumatology practice and infusion center. This position offers part-time or full-time opportunities (10-hour shifts), with a signing bonus available.
Primary duties for this position include but are not limited to:
Clinic Duties include:
- Assisting with procedures
- Preparing and administering injections
- Following up on and recording test results
- Providing patient education
- Completing prior authorizations for treatments and diagnostic testing
- Screening calls for physicians and answering patient questions
Infusion Duties include:
- Performing initial and ongoing patient assessments prior to and during each infusion to ensure patients are free of infection, adverse reactions, or other complications
- Performing venipuncture using aseptic technique and maintaining sterility of the closed IV system
- Educating patients on IV therapy and the infusion process
- Preparing IV medications according to drug reconstitution protocols
- Administering medications per manufacturer guidelines
- Assisting with clinical drug study infusions as needed

Excellent communication skills are essential. Candidates must be or become proficient in the use of computer systems, including electronic medical records (EMR). Current RN license is required. Qualified RNs must have current nursing license. BLS required or must obtain within the first 60 days of employment. CPR certification is required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
