Reports To: Director of Catering and Conference Services
Job Summary:
The Wedding Events Manager is responsible for:
· Plans and administrates sales activities and programs to foster and promote wedding & catering business for the Gardens & Resort
· Negotiates food, beverage, and Facility Rentals, and is responsible for contracting catering business for Callaway Gardens.
· Solicits new accounts and manage established/existing accounts in order to achieve and exceed pre-determined annual revenues and food and beverage goals
· Respond to Leads: Respond to telephone calls, e-mails, faxes and other inquires for wedding & Catering business and day meetings.
· Follow up on inquires in a prompt professional manner.
· Group Maintenance: Detail all accounts so that all aspects of the solicitation, closing, and group requirements are complete and documented.
· Outside Sales: Conduct outside sales calls and presentations to promote Callaway Gardens Wedding Facilities and client’s vision for the wedding is effectively executed.
· Site Inspections: Conduct site inspections of Callaway Gardens to existing and potential clients by touring the Gardens.
· Maintain compliance with Callaway Gardens standards.
· Active participation in hotel/resort sales, food, and beverage meetings. Accurately communicate the client’s needs and expectations to the appropriate personnel.
· Other duties may be assigned by the Director.
· Attending and facilitating wedding events.
