Position Overview:
The Senior Clinical Liaison is a senior member of the marketing and admissions team and assists all members of the admissions team in
marketing, census development, and other activities within each territory. This position supports the Director of Business Development
with training, coaching, and other management responsibilities as assigned. The Senior Clinical Liaison acts as a liaison between internal
and external referral sources and the inpatient rehabilitation facility. This position establishes relationships with stakeholders (such as
physicians, payers, internal and external referral sources) and ensures appropriate patient placement. The Senior Clinical Liaison
completes clinical assessments and screens potential candidates in conjunction with the Medical Director/rehabilitation physician.

Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
• Assists the Director of Business Development to identify key strategies and necessary weekly/monthly/quarterly initiatives to lead
marketing and admissions team to accomplish volume goals, including accountability of team members to meet established targets.
• Represents the admissions team in marketing and community relations meetings, within the facility and corporately. Works closely
with appropriate corporate teams with responsibility to identify and facilitate the development of facility collateral needs, community
events, website development, and social networking opportunities.
• Ensures the accuracy of referral logs and data collection tools. Develops departmental reports as directed by the Director of Business
Development.
• Completes weekly reviews to identify areas of opportunity to assist the admissions team to improve documentation to support
compliant diagnoses and criteria for inpatient rehabilitation, streamline admissions processes, and promote inpatient rehabilitation.
• Assiststhe Director of Business Development to lead admissions department meetings and report on performance related to metrics
and departmental initiatives.
• Assists and coordinates the referral and pre-admission process to include appropriate documentation of patient assessment
regarding the reason for admission to an acute inpatient hospital rehabilitation facility in accordance with CMS regulations. Identifies
potential patients early through effective communication with the hospital care management team, physicians, other referring
facilities, and through clinical rounds as assigned.
Education/Training
• Degree from an accredited school.
Licensure/Certification
• Maintains a current license in Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, or as a
Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Florida.
• Must maintain a valid Florida driver’s license.
Experience
• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience required, with demonstrated skills in clinical assessment and marketing.
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in acute care or rehab preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year as a liaison preferred.
• Marketing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of the local healthcare market, providers, hospitals, and rehabilitation providers preferred.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work harmoniously with other personnel.
