Position: Academic Tutor/Teacher

Job Type: Part-Time (October - June), In-Person, Grades 5th and 8th

Pay: $30-$50 per hour

Location: Las Vegas, NV

We're seeking top-notch academic tutors to support two students in 5th and 8th grade in several areas, including English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. The ideal teachers are knowledgeable, experienced, and professional, making learning fun, engaging, and able to work with a high degree of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities:

•     Design and implement engaging and fun lesson plans tailored to various academic levels.
•     Establish academic goals and milestones with students.
•     Document and communicate progress reports.
•     Provide a supportive and motivating environment for students to thrive academically.
•     Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

Instructor Qualifications:

•     Completed Bachelor's Degree
•     Teaching Credentials is a plus
•     Minimum of two years of teaching/tutoring experience
•     Experience working with neurodiverse students
•     A fun, upbeat personality and strong interpersonal skills
•     Passion for teaching and learning
•     Impeccable time management & organization skills
•     Ability to communicate effectively and compellingly
•     Reliable transportation and willingness to travel
•     Easy access to and proficiency with the Internet, email, and electronic communications
•     Excellent references
•     Must pass a background check
