Job Description
Associate Director, Global Business Center
Join the BYU Marriott School of Business as the GlobalHub and Advisory Board Manager, where you'll drive transformative student outcomes through strategic global engagement. This dynamic role combines program management, relationship building, and educational leadership to connect students with real-world opportunities and global business leaders. You'll oversee the innovative GlobalHub (gHub) initiative and manage critical Advisory Board relationships, creating pathways for student success through mentorship, internships, study abroad programs, and experiential learning opportunities.
What you’ll do in this position:
GlobalHub Supervision:
- Lead and manage a student executive team running gHub, a cross-campus organization focused on student-centered research and scholarship that empowers students to transform the world through Christlike Leadership
- Supervise 2 adjunct faculty members teaching gHub courses across Fall, Winter, and Spring/Summer semesters, coordinating curriculum and recruiting students from all campus majors
- Design and oversee an emerging markets study abroad program, facilitating practical leadership and business training with Pathway students, humanitarian efforts, and local universities
- Manage annual international business case competitions for undergraduate students worldwide
- Organize and execute an annual student-centered conference connecting students, alumni, and Advisory Board members
- Create and maintain performance dashboards tracking gHub growth metrics, OKRs, and KPIs
Advisory Board Management:
- Build and sustain strategic relationships with key Advisory Board members to maximize their involvement in student development initiatives
- Host annual Whitmore Center Advisory Board meetings prioritizing student engagement and program improvement integration
- Collaborate with the Global Business Student Association (GBSA) to coordinate student-led case competitions showcasing talent to board members
- Engage board members as guest lecturers, mentors, and strategic partners while fostering networking opportunities
- Support the Advisory Board chair in executing student-focused initiatives including career panels, internship pipelines, and alumni connections
- Maintain comprehensive dashboards tracking board member engagement and student impact metrics
Additional Responsibilities:
- Hire, train, and supervise a team of 10-15 students
- Coordinate cross-disciplinary courses helping students build and run global education technology companies
- Approve budgets, events, marketing campaigns, and study abroad programs in conjunction with associate director
- Travel internationally approximately 2 times per year
What qualifies you for this role:
Required
- A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
- Bachelor's degree
- Five years of work experience at executive or director level positions with global responsibilities
- Excellent administrative and management skills with high levels of accountability and responsiveness
- Superior efficiency, time management, and deadline-focused approach with ability to handle high-volume workloads
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work effectively under stress
- Extensive expertise in managing programs, people, and events
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement capabilities
Preferred
- Master's in Business Administration (MBA) degree
- Deep understanding of university leadership structure and faculty research/teaching responsibilities
- Experience in international business or global program management
- Background in educational technology or student development programs
- Familiarity with emerging markets and cross-cultural business operations
- Experience with advisory board management and strategic relationship building

Pay Grade: 54
Typical Starting Pay: $79,500.00 to $103,500.00
