Intervention Partner at Woonsocket Education Department

The Intervention Partner will cover teachers' responsibilities as teachers participate in intervention planning. The intervention partner will be specially trained in a whole class reading intervention strategy, which they will use in the classroom they are covering.Training of the Intervention Partner will be facilitated by a certified Reading Specialist/Intervention Coach. A successful intervention partner will receive consideration for future full time employment. Responsibilities: Following the intervention strategy provided by the District as they provide classroom coverage for teachers participating in intervention planning. Meeting and instructing assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated. Establishing and maintaining order in the classroom. Maintaining a classroom environment conducive to effective learning. Taking all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, materials, equipment and facilities. Assisting in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and School Board Policies Qualifications: Minimum BA or BS from an accredited college or university Ability to establish a good rapport with students and teachers Must be a person of professional and personal integrity.
