Your team
The Pictet Group is one of the world’s leading independent wealth and asset managers. Founded in 1805 and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, the Group has 30 offices in financial centres worldwide, and employs over 5,100 people.
Pictet Wealth Management (PWM) combines more than 200 years of Swiss banking heritage with global investment expertise. The Partner-owned financial services group offers a comprehensive service for wealthy individuals and families, including discretionary and advisory investment solutions and family office services.
We are seeking to recruit a Business Risk Manager to strengthen our PWM Management team in London on a 12-month contract.
Your role
- Acting as the first point of contact for front-line teams (private bankers and client relationship officers) and providing them with support on matters relating to business risk, compliance and procedural issues as well as commercial operations (e.g. sanctions, payments and security transfers, FATCA/CRS and tax reporting and Tax relief/reclaims, data/GDPR situations).
- Reviewing account opening and documentation packs for both new and existing clients. Providing assistance on matters relating to account-opening forms and handling preliminary requests concerning prospective clients and account-opening requests.
- Monitoring credit requests (simple and complex) and Appway workflows. Overseeing amendments and updates to London Branch documentation (e.g. terms and conditions and mandate documentation).
- Providing support for trading and investment related matters (fees/WFs, IR, etc.) and any transaction related topics.
- Providing administrative support in specific legal situations (e.g. complaints, GDPR data requests, inheritance or donations), interacting directly with other Wealth Management or Group departments.
- Devising and monitoring risk-mitigating measures for specific categories of clientele (e.g. insufficient assets under management, cancellation of specific services and other ad hoc metrics).
- Helping to ensure level-one controls of internal-directive compliance.
- Conducting sampling-based controls using risk-driven methodologies (e.g. visits or investment orders).
- Performing ad hoc analysis at the behest of the head of market operations, Middle-Office teams, or PWM's Compliance & Risk Management.
- Conduct project work for the development and implementation of new operational systems.
Your profile
- At least 5 years’ experience of front-line private banking processes.
- Excellent command of English; other languages would be a plus.
- Solid understanding of all front-line processes (account openings, client documentation, investment processes, etc.) and related regulatory requirements (Consumer Duty, MiFID II, AML, FATCA, RUBIK and UKRND).
- Excellent project management skills.
- Solution-oriented and proactive mindset, and ability to remain independent.
