Media Support Technician

This position reports To Director of Technology.

Qualifications:

• Experience with PC and Mac Operating systems and applications is a plus.

• Desktop support, maintenance, and troubleshooting a plus.

• Previous experience in customer support or computer operations is a plus.

• Able to interact positively/appropriately with students, staff, and the public; handle special duties/situations as necessary.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks, understand dependencies between tasks, and organize workload effectively.

• Prioritize work to meet expectations and deadlines.

• Provide professional level of support to students and staff in difficult situations.

• Experience with Multimedia peripherals, projection systems and IT equipment.

• High personal work ethic and dedication to excellence in performance of duties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create a positive staff/student support experience with a professional attitude.

• Provide technology support to staff/students on-site at school facilities.

• Open, track, escalate and close trouble tickets in school environment.

• Track/document issues and resolutions in the ticketing system.

• Support and troubleshoot: basic connectivity and peripheral equipment; and typical office and audio-visual equipment.

• Work within established standards and guidelines with minimal supervision.

• Demonstrate proactive and accountable attitude and promote staff/student satisfaction.

• Manage the circulation desk and check out chromebooks to staff/students.

• Assist in managing technology tracking at HPHS.

• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

• Use of computer and office equipment.

• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

• Performs all administrative functions expected at this level.

• May include standing, lifting up to 20 lbs., bending, sitting or twisting.
