Job Description:

We are looking for a Software Test Engineer who will thoroughly inspect our products before they’re launched. 

As a Test Engineer in our company, you will work closely with the production team to understand why we’re building a product and what the specific requirements are. Then, you will run a series of tests through all stages of production to identify potential malfunctions and recommend improvements. 

Ultimately, you’ll ensure our final products meet our quality standards. 

Responsibilities 

  • Understand product requirements (e.g. functional and non-functional) 
  • Analyse the business requirements against the technical solution and identify core issues if any 
  • Design high level test scenarios 
  • Create detailed test scripts  
  • Execute automated test scripts and capture test evidences 
  • Debug and Analyse defects/bugs 
  • Identify and prioritise tests for regression tests 
  • Test reporting and maintaining complete traceability to requirements 
  • Identifying and logging defects 
  • Familiar with automation framework and eagerness to learn automation skills 
Qualifications:

Requirements and skills 

  • Experience as a Test Engineer  
  • Worked on python/pyspark (at least 6 months) 
  • Good understanding of ETL  
  • Familiar with Azure technologies, Databricks 
  • Good understanding of source control  
  • Good Communication skills 
  • Familiarity with various testing techniques 
  • Hands-on experience with Quality/Test Management tools like DevOps, JIRA, Test Rail 
  • Knowledge of quality standards and processes 
  • Great troubleshooting skills 
  • Analytical mindset 
  • Additional certification in Quality Assurance is a plus
