This position is based at the Floyd County Health Department, Specialty Clinic in Rome, Georgia. This position is an unclassified, full-time position working 40 hours per week. Please complete your online application with current and previous employment details and work experience.
Position Duties
The Specialty Care Clinic at the Floyd County Health Department is seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN 1 or APRN 2) to join our multidisciplinary team. This role provides advanced nursing care with a primary focus on infectious disease management and some primary care services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering healthcare services under a nurse protocol agreement with the delegating physician.
- Conducting comprehensive physicals, routine examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests.
- Providing counseling, treatment, and patient education.
- Prescribing and managing antiretroviral therapy in alignment with national guidelines and established protocols.
- Educating patients and families on disease prevention, treatment plans, medication use, and adherence.
- Maintaining accurate medical records while ensuring patient confidentiality.
Minimum Qualifications
A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university and/or other education requirements approved by Georgia Board of Nursing AND certification in the specialty area(s) approved by Georgia Board of Nursing AND Two years of nursing experience AND Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse and Georgia License as an APRN AND CPR certification.
