Full-Time Maintenance Technician – YMCA of the North Shore

We are looking for a Full-Time Maintenance Technician to help care for our new Cabot Street affordable housing properties and other housing units in Beverly. As part of a dedicated facilities team serving multiple North Shore locations, you’ll be the go-to problem solver who ensures residents and community members have safe, functional, and well-maintained spaces to call home.
What You’ll Do:

Keep buildings running smoothly with general maintenance, minor repairs, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and light construction

Carry out preventive maintenance plans to stay ahead of issues

Respond quickly to maintenance needs and emergencies, ensuring safety and comfort

Maintain grounds year-round with snow removal, landscaping, and seasonal care

Work independently to manage daily tasks, while collaborating with a supportive team when needed

Qualifications
- 3-5 years relevant experience related to trades, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and preventative maintenance
- Basic computer skills, including typing and reviewing online work orders
- Previous OSHA certification preferred but not required, or willingness to acquire certification needed within 6 months
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Must be able to lift, bend, twist, and reach as needed to execute job responsibilities
- Must have a valid driver’s license and/ or reliable transportation
