Under the supervision and direction of the site principal or his/her administrative designee, the Intervention Teacher will develop lesson plans and provide direct instruction to students who have been identified through multiple measures as significantly underperforming academically and in need of additional targeted support. The instructional delivery will vary, based on need, and may include whole group, small group, pull-out or push-in. The Intervention Teacher is accountable for promoting standards-based literacy and numeracy across the content areas using a multi-tiered approach and evidence-based interventions. In addition, the Intervention Teacher will provide data for SST and 504 meetings and communicate with parents, teachers, and other staff regarding progress or further interventions needed.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS)
• Valid CA Multiple Subject teaching credential with embedded EL authorization or CLAD
Experience:
• A minimum of five (5) years of successful classroom teaching experience in an elementary setting
Salary Info
Addiional stipends for advanced degree(s) apply. In addition, District offers year for year credit for all verified public teaching experience, including longevity. District pays $10,800/$11,400/$12,000 monthly benefit cap (single/2-party/family).
