Academy Teacher - 6th Grade - JCS Mountain Oaks at Julian Charter School - San Diego County

JCS was established in November 1999 (under a management organization) as a K-12 non-classroom based charter school. In 2000, the School, as a 501(c)(3) organization, incrementally began taking ownership of curriculum, instruction and assessment; finance, facilities, and business management; and organization, governance, and administration becoming a fully independent, direct funded, incorporated charter school by the 2002-2003 school year. From inception, the School was designed to meet the needs of students under served by traditional delivery systems of education or for families with a strong desire to home school. The School received an initial charter for two years and has had three additional five-year renewals.

The Academy Teacher at Julian Charter School, Inc. is required to grow professionally, use best practices with students, impact student learning, collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the school community. An Academy Teacher will be responsible for implementing the essential duties within a particular classroom based upon the academy program.

In addition to a resume and letter of introduction, we require three letters of recommendation, a current negative TB test, current CPR certification, and copies of all college transcripts to be uploaded at the time of application. This position requires a current CA Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential. If you do not currently hold an appropriate California credential at the time of your application, your application will not be considered.
