Job Summary:
To promote the worth of each participant in the program, display school and program support to incoming players, parents, and personnel, and to assist in the development of the total sports program. Work is performed under the direction of the Athletic Director.
Qualifications: - Current Red Cross First Aid/CPR Card
- Twenty-one years old or older
- Must take WIAA online courses and complete Woodland Public School's assistant coach checklist
- Must be current with WIAA coaching clock hours
- Be able to pass the screening test to provide transportation for student athletes
- Regular and punctual attendance to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position to achieve program requirements
- Experience coaching high school volleyball is preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Assist the head coach in carrying out all practices
- Assist the head coach in organizing and coaching all games
- Assist the head coach in preparing for all practices and games
- Report directly to the head coach, Principal, and Athletic Director
- Serve as a positive role model for students, and practice the behaviors that are expected of our students
- Work in a flexible and cooperative manner
- Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor

Work Environment:
Work is predominantly in athletic rooms and outside on athletic field(s). Temperature – normal climate, occasional adverse weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
*Note - retention of this assistant coaching position will be reviewed annually and determined following the postseason evaluation between the head coach and the district athletic director.
