Position Title: Office Coordinator Department: School of Nursing, Independence campus
Reports to: Dean of the School of Nursing (100%)
SON Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Data, reporting and accreditation
- Manage all aspects of annual reports to 45 state boards of nursing and other national nursing credentialing bodies such as American Academy of Colleges of Nursing
- Complete applications for approval to offer distance learning programs in states required and maintain compliance with individual state boards of nursing.
- Assist with accreditation reports and self-studies.
- Monitor ever-changing compliance requirements and prepare documentation in order to maintain compliance with individual states boards of nursing.
- Gather full-time faculty and faculty associate credentialing documents to ensure licensing compliance.
- SON attrition report
- Maintain accurate student’s records using Uniface, Cognos, and CX
Payroll
- Create and obtain approval for SON faculty associate payroll paysheets
Meeting Minutes and GSAC Communications
- Schedule, attend, and coordinate minutes of Faculty Governance Associate (FGA) and Graduate Council (GC)
- Receive, respond to and facilitate communication between GSAC and students filing petitions or receiving faculty concern forms.
Student Communications and Credentialing
- Complete and send verification of education forms for students to state boards of nursing, employment agencies, and national accrediting bodies (AANP, ANCC)
- Complete letters of recommendation and reference forms for students seeking employment
- Coordinate applications for MSN and DNP program. Send out acceptance or rejection letters to students.
- Assist students with all aspects of their education and credentialing via phone and email
- Monitor and communicate with students about background checks through Castlebranch
- Compile and communicate course failure data and consequential enrollment status changes
