About the Department
Join the Talent and Equity Resources/Human Resources Team as a Recruitment & Workforce Consultant and help shape the future of public service through impactful recruitment work. In this role, you’ll partner with departments and outside agencies to recruit and attract top talent ensuring fair and inclusive hiring practices. Here’s what you can expect to do:
- Conduct recruitment activities, to include posting jobs on various platforms to source talent, participation in job fairs, and work with organizations to identify pathway programs for job applicants.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal departments and community organizations to advance workforce development opportunities and recruitment of community members as part of the City workforce.
- Create and deliver a professional and engaging e-newsletter that highlights the City of Saint Paul’s current employment opportunities to appeal to a wide range of potential applicants.
- Assist in the collection of current labor market and City workforce data to support targeted recruitment strategies.
- Contribute in the development of training and career pathway programs that expand and sustain talent pipelines.
- Actively support and engage in creating a talent and equity centered culture in the department and within the City.

Position Duties
Four years of work experience performing duties related to Human Resources functions.
Note: An Associate’s Degree can be substituted for two years of experience. A Bachelor’s Degree can be substituted for four years of experience.
