Manufacturing Design Engineer

Location: Two Rivers, WI (20% travel to Albert Lea, MN)

What You Will Do: Design. Support. Deliver.

As our Manufacturing Design Engineer, you will support custom machine and tooling orders, maintain and improve legacy product SKUs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and high-quality manufacturing execution. You will also play a key role in bridging engineering and production while contributing to new product development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Custom Tooling & Die Set Support – Design and modify tooling, die sets, and custom solutions to meet customer requirements using SolidWorks CAD.
  • Legacy Product Support – Maintain and improve legacy SKUs, updating drawings, BOMs, and specifications while troubleshooting to improve product consistency.
  • New Product Development – Provide manufacturing input and CAD support on NPD projects, including prototyping, testing, and manufacturability reviews.
  • Manufacturing Interface & Support – Act as the technical link between engineering and production, supporting troubleshooting, process improvements, and supplier collaboration.
  • Travel – Support operations with up to 20% travel to our Albert Lea, MN facility.


What You Will Bring: Expertise. Skill. Collaboration.

Education: Associate’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (required); Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience: 7+ years in mechanical/manufacturing engineering, with strong experience in custom tooling and sustaining engineering.

Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD and GD&T, with experience in machining, fabrication, die/tooling design, and DFM principles.

Preferred Competencies: Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, PLC systems, CAM, welding, and prototyping.

Skills: Strong cross-functional collaboration, problem-solving, and shop-floor support capabilities.
