Skillforce has partnered with one of the leading full-service construction companies to find a Construction Superintendent for a Data Center Project in Indianapolis.
We are hiring a Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee large-scale construction projects from planning through completion. You will play a key role in developing strategies, budgets, and schedules, assembling and managing project teams, and supervising craft workers across multiple trades, including civil, structural, and electrical disciplines.
We are especially interested in candidates local to Indianapolis, Indiana—or those willing to relocate—who are committed to contributing to their community’s growth.
Location
This role is based in Indianapolis, Indiana. We are prioritizing local candidates or those open to relocation. We are also open to providing subsistence for those open to short-term relocation to Indianapolis for the position.
Construction Superintendent Responsibilities
Project Planning & Strategy: Develop and execute construction plans, determining resources, methods, materials, and schedules while ensuring work meets design and specification requirements.
Team Leadership: Oversee and coordinate work across multiple trades and contractors, resolving construction challenges and fostering team collaboration.
Resource Management: Ensure availability of materials, equipment, and inspections to support schedules; enforce safety programs and document corrective actions.
Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain clear communication with executives, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to align expectations and resolve concerns.
Performance Tracking: Monitor project progress using metrics and reporting, adjusting plans to meet evolving needs.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all deliverables meet strict quality and compliance standards.
Innovation & Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize processes and drive project success through technology and best practices.
Construction Superintendent Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent, plus 8+ years of supervisory experience in large-scale commercial or industrial construction projects.
Experience managing projects with budgets of $15M or more.
Valid U.S. driver’s license and passport; ability to travel extensively (70%+ travel required).
Preferred:
Expertise in scheduling, cost control, and risk management.
Experience mentoring and motivating cross-functional teams.
Proven track record of maintaining high safety standards and delivering quality outcomes.
Pay and Benefits
Up to $180k dependent on experience
Subsistence package for housing, airlines, etc. if not local or relocating.
