Position Duties

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Customer Service & Guest Relations
• Greet and interact positively with guests to ensure a first-class experience from arrival through completion of play.
• Serve as an ambassador for Riverside Golf Course, promoting professionalism and hospitality at all times.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and complaints, escalating issues to the Head Golf Professional when necessary.
• Keep golfers informed of course activities, encourage participation in events, and build rapport by discussing playing habits and preferences.
Retail & Point-of-Sale Operations
• Process golf fees, merchandise, and concession transactions using point-of-sale software.
• Handle cash, process credit card transactions, and reconcile daily sales.
• Collect and update customer profile data, including contact information and repeat patron records.
• Maintain product knowledge of golf shop merchandise, providing assistance and suggestive selling to customers.
• Assist with the upkeep of the golf car fleet, clubhouse, grounds, and facilities, ensuring areas remain clean and free of clutter.
• Monitor and support the daily tee sheet to maximize course utilization.
• Coordinate with Beverage Cart Attendants for stocking, restocking, inventory control, and transaction reconciliation.
• Be knowledgeable of golf course maintenance programs and daily course conditions.
• Promote stewardship of the golf course at all times.
Operational Duties
• Perform both opening and closing responsibilities following operational checklists.
• Answer incoming calls, assist with tee time reservations, and provide accurate course information while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
• Supervise and assist Guest Service Attendant staff as directed by the Head Golf Professional.
• Arrive on time, properly groomed, and in uniform for every scheduled shift.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, squatting, and twisting.
• Ability to walk on uneven or sloped terrain.
Other Qualifications
Education, Training, & Experience
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of experience in a service-oriented or hospitality setting preferred.
• Previous golf industry experience preferred.
• Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) Certification required within two (2) weeks of employment.
• Credit report review required; must meet City guidelines.
• Relevant local, state, and federal laws, codes, and ordinances.
• Work safety policies, procedures, and practices.
• Basic math for cash handling and reconciliation.
• Computers and standard office equipment.
• Working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Managing priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Following written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Communicating clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
• Working weekdays, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
