SALARY RANGE $25.00 - $27.00 per hour. This role is responsible for the production of baked goods and pastry preparation for banquets and all F&B Outlets. Pastry Cook 1 would also assist with leading the pastry team and training new hires.
Essential Functions
- Must adhere to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life.
- Must actively participate in team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort.
- Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag.
- Ability to run the shift with minimal supervisor in addition to training and guiding new team members.
- Participates in production and quality of baked goods such as breakfast pastries, breads, cakes, cold desserts, and other various pastries to meet resorts’ standards.
- Must be able to follow the recipes and measure the ingredients correctly.
- Operates all commercial kitchen equipment and bake shop equipment correctly and in a safe manner.
- Fills out food requisitions to order baking supplies from Purchasing.
- Must be able to self-manage projects.
- Responsible for multiple BEOs and/or multiple outlet production.
- Maintains high standards of cleanliness and sanitation at workstation and other work areas.
- Assist in training new employees, as needed.
- Assists in continually teaching pastry skills to other pastry cooks.
- Abide by all resort policies and safety rules.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications
- Experience in Pastry/Bakery is required.
- In compliance with California laws, Current Food Handlers Certification is required.
Work Conditions and Schedule
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
- Medium work - Exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. This can involve bending, kneeling or stooping.
- Must be able to stand during entire shift.
- Must be able to withstand temperature variations both hot and cold.
- Must be able to work outdoors.
