DEFINITION:
Responsible for the daily operations of the Laboratory on the second and third shifts. This is to include staff performing testing and reporting test results, maintaining policies and procedures, and quality control practices in the Laboratory.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor of Science degree in a science related field and completion of an approved Medical Technology Training program or equivalent clinical training.
REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE):
Certified/Registered as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, must meet the minimum requirements of the Clinical Laboratory Act of 1988.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
One year experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
One (1) to five (5) years experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in the appropriate discipline(s).
Supervisory experience desirable.
