The Opportunity
As a part of the America’s team, SANY is looking to recruit a driven, forward-thinking and highly-motivated Logistics Specialist. With the deep investment and backing of SANY Group, the Americas business is expected to grow significantly in the coming years. Critical to this growth is the recruitment of a high-quality Logistics Specialist team member, who is responsible for overseeing the inbound and outbound transportation of machines, attachments, and service parts. This individual will be responsible for supporting the Manager of Logistics with developing tracking, performance monitoring, and communication methods for the various carriers that are utilized by the SANY America team. This team member will collaborate with the Manager of Logistics and the various SANY America and 3PL operations to coordinate inbound and outbound transportation of inventory.
With current revenues just short of $1B, SANY America continues to make strong progress and significant investments in the Americas market; the organization is now pursuing an aggressive growth strategy and is looking to move quickly beyond this initial platform and increase their market share. This role will require a leader who is forward-thinking, entrepreneurial and motivated to seize the opportunity to represent and grow a respected global brand in the Americas market.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Logistics Specialist is expected to:
- Establish carrier relationships to improve on-time pickup and delivery metrics, and shipping rates. Assist with developing tracking and communication methods for the inbound and outbound volume for the network
- Establish KPIs for the various carriers and brokers that are utilized for service parts, attachments, and finished goods shipments
- Develop weekly and monthly volume forecasts to provide operations and carriers for capacity planning
- Logistics coordination of trade shows and project management for specialty moves
- Manage 3PL partners to ensure that the appropriate carrier mode is utilized for shipments
- Audit 3PL and carrier shipping invoices for accuracy
- Generate reporting metrics to summarize carrier and operation performance
- Establish carrier redundancies to ensure that sufficient capacity is maintained for the forecasted inbound and outbound volumes for whole goods, attachments, and service parts.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- SAP SD or other ERP system
- Data manipulation through Excel
- Data Analysis
- Attention to detail, sound time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate with stake holders from various departments
- Carrier tracking and communication
- Transportation planning
- Proficient in Mandarin
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business management or related field preferred and or equivalent experience.
